About the partnership between Impact Hub and Cordaid

The Resilience Africa initiative consists of a multi-layer program with the aim to develop strong and resilient local entrepreneurial ecosystems and subsequently local economies and societies in five countries across Africa. The initiative includes a Seed Program, Impact Hub Fellowship regional incubation program and a series of thought leadership events.

The purpose of the Seed Program is to identify, select, and enable local, high-potential entrepreneurial teams in the process of building Impact Hubs in 5 African countries modified to fit the specific context in each country and city. The aim is to build a locally-owned and driven, sustainable physical and social infrastructure for entrepreneurship and innovation in Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya and Sierra Leone.

The Impact Hub Fellowship is a topic-focused entrepreneurial idea award and a one-year incubation program designed to attract, select and support impact entrepreneurs and help them realize their innovations for a more sustainable world. The program also aims to raise awareness in the entrepreneurial community and broader public around specific social and environmental challenges.

Impact Hub and Cordaid are co-hosting a thought leadership conference in Addis Ababa Ethiopia,  Re-imagining Resilience ,  in October, to explore what makes entrepreneurial ecosystems resilient.
